Despite its seemingly small size, this light box may be the best $12 I've ever spent on art supplies. As the cartoonist of my school's newspaper, I use this light box primarily for inking the final drafts of my comics. Its size is perfect for my 5x8 comics, and I can easily take it anywhere to work (as long as there's an electrical socket!). My only problem with the light box is its light bulb. When plugged in, the light bulb is very bright and allows pencil marks to be seen through 5 sheets of paper, but it also makes the plastic directly above it very hot within 15 minutes of use. The temperature is tolerable, but I wouldn't keep my hand in that one area too long or let a child use this light box. Despite the heat, I can see myself using this light box for many years to come!

I purchased a larger, more expensive light table and it didn't do the job for me, but the light box was great. It's very bright, and gives you a clear outline of whatever you want to trace. I wish it were a bit larger, but it's a great bargain.
