I recently made eighteen yards of bias tape with this tape maker it was a breeze. It's easy to use and the finished result looks really good. If your desired end result is double-fold bias tape, remember that you will need to fold it again after it's initial run through the tape maker and iron it at the center fold. The finished border on your garment or quilt will be one inch wide. Clover is the only company I could find that manufactures this two inch size bias tape maker.

These Clover Bias Tape Makers are perfect! They are easy to use; Cut strips of fabric (on bias or grain) and slowly slide it through the tape maker with a hot steam iron on the narrow side and you have your own bias tape in any color or pattern to match whatever you're making.

I purchased this for quilts, but now that I've used it, I'll be looking for other reasons to pull out this great little tool. I couldn't believe how precise the results were, and how easy it is to use. If you don't want to spend the money on a bias tape maker machine, this is the next best thing at a fraction of the price.
Honest reviews on Clover Bias Tape Maker
I just used the 1-inch Tape Maker to make 28 feet of bias for 4 bibs I making. What a breeze this was with the Tape Maker! This is not the first time I have used this Tape Maker. It is truly a product that you need if you are making baby clothes, blankets or quilts. The best part is that I can make bias in any color whenever I want. I don't have to start a project and then run out to the store to find (hopefully find) just the right color for my project. One reviewer wrote that the fabric doesn't feed into the maker very well. My experience has been (and I've used the maker quite a bit) is that you should cut your starting edge into a "V" point and feed that through the maker. A little piece will stick out and you can grab it or stick it with a straight pin. Your ready to quickly and perfectly whip out a tape of any size you desire.

I'm relatively new to sewing and didn't quite connect the dots on this bias tape maker. It works perfectly. It's a little tricky to maneuver the fabric through, but a tool can help you. On the other side, you get perfectly folded "tape" you press with an iron as it gets pulled through. No burned fingers! However, the 1" tape maker actually only makes 1/2" tape once folded. I really wanted 1" AFTER it was folded for a project. My bad. Otherwise, it works well and if 1/2 tape is what you need, this will do the job!
