Crayola now offers markers made from recycled plastic. All markers are black! I purposely ordered these because they were picutred on the site to be the original white plastic with the colored stripes that match the caps. It is very difficult for students to grab the right color (assuming more than one have the caps off). It also makes it difficult to get the caps back on the right marker. Not always does the tip appear to be the color it does on paper. I am disappointed that I received the ones I was trying to avoid getting.

These markers were NOT as pictured. They are in black plastic tubes rather than white and color coded. When a cover is lost, you cannot tell what color the marker is. The product is misrepresented in the photograph.

Do not be fooled by the pictures on the Amazon site, which is totally misleadingyou will receive the awful new Crayola markers which are made of recycled plastic and so they are ALL BLACK, with no color coding on the barrels, so there is no way non-reading kids can put the correct tops back on. Then, the next time they go to use a marker and think they are about to draw with "red" it turns out to be "blue" on the page...tears of frustration ensue. Did Crayola do ANY market research on these? Eco is only good when the product meets the consumer's needs...

I ordered these for use in my science classroom. There are a lot of markers here! The box is huge! I also received the markers that have the white barrels, so no problems in that department. I would buy these again from Amazon because this is the best price I have found anywhere for this item. I plan to replace specific colors when they run low with the Crayola 12 Count Original Bulk Markers, Red, and other colors that can be found here on Amazon.
