I've owned and used this model of Testors airbrush in the past and would buy one again if I had the use for it. Testors has produced this airbrush for a long time, although the style of the design has changed, the function is the same as the original I had years ago. It's not for detail work at all, but if you want the freedom of the use of a wide range of colors and to mix your own shades and colors from what's available. This is a very good choice for general use spray painting without using can paint, which is limited in it's choices in some areas. The one thing I really liked about this airbrush is that you can control the paint flow (unlike a spray can). So it is easy to avoid over spraying resulting in an uneven coat.

I received this airbrush in a timely manner, and it does what I expect it to. I know it's for acrylic paint for use with scale models; I use it for applying Gun-Kote and cold phosphate pre-treatment solution for firearms refinishing. It takes a bit of trial and error to figure out the spray pattern and dispersal, but once you do, it works great. A word of caution, though. This airbrush isn't for detail work; it's for covering larger areas quickly.Best Deals for Aztek Single Action External Mix Airbrush Set

I bought one of these kits a few years ago for applying DuraCoat. I'm now using it for air-cure CeraKote. One of my concerns was that the various durable coatings would gum up an airbrush. This is not really a concern with the Aztek airbrush, as the paint doesn't actually flow through the airbrush itself. You put your paint in one of the little glass bottles, and then screw the little bottle into the airbrush. A drop tube fits into a cap-like piece with a nozzle at the top. When you press the "trigger" on the airbrush, the air flows over the nozzle, which picks up the paint, through the pick-up tube, and the paint sprays out. Your paint only really touches the little glass jar, the pick-up tube, and the cap with the nozzle. Clean up is really very easy. I keep one of the little glass jars that comes with the kit full of lacquer thinner, and spray some through the pick-up tube and nozzle when I'm finished spraying paint, and that does about 90% of the clean-up work.
I can vigorously shake the little jar of CeraKote, spray on a coat, clean up, and have the airbrush ready to go for another another coat, or another color in about 10 minutes.
It's kind of a my-first-airbrush kit, but it's working well for me. I don't use it a whole lot, and I appreciate the easy clean-up, ease-of-use, and the simplicity. It's also very cost effective. No regrets.
