I bought this counted cross stitch kit for my little granddaughter for her first embroidery work, and she loved it.Best Deals for Bucilla 45457 My 1st Stitch Counted Mini Cross Stitch Kit, Heart
I wanted to learn how to cross stitch on my own. I didn't buy this off Amazon, I bought it from work (Jo-Ann Fabric's), but this is the kit and pattern that I chose. It took me a bit of carefully reading through the instructions to know what to do. After I started, though, I got the hang of it real quickly an I absolutely love this. If you're buying this for a smaller child, I would suggest being with them to teach them how to read a pattern. Other than that, it really is easy enough that a child could do it!Honest reviews on Bucilla 45457 My 1st Stitch Counted Mini Cross Stitch Kit, Heart
Purchased for 7 year old daughter, and this is so awful I would prefer to put in trash. It says refer to picture to stitch heart. it's her first project and to look at pic and try to guess where to stitch is impossible. The stitch fabric should be color coated to help her know where to stitch. Definitely don't want first stitch project to be a negative one, with this kit it will be.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Bucilla 45457 My 1st Stitch Counted Mini Cross Stitch Kit, Heart
First off, dear grandparents please consider the possibility that you have been told the gift was wonderful out of politeness and not because it actually was. A good review really should come from the recipient of the gift and not the gifter. Now, on to the review of this product --
It is not for beginners. It is clear the instructions were written either by someone with poor communication skills or translated poorly from another language.
I spent $3. each on two items from this company, titled, "My 1st Stitch" for my girls ages 7 and 10. Both girls were frustrated and myself who is an advanced seamstress, could NOT understand the instructions to even begin to help my kids. Rubbish instructions. Nice kits though the thread is cheap quality. Don't expect this to be an intro for someone to learn cross-stitch.
I plan to contact the company directly about my disappointment.
