I have been using a hard plastic cutting board for several years and have gone through many, many rotary cutting blades. Purchased the Olfa Gridded Cutting Mat Set and I'm sure my blades will be useable for a much longer time. The surface of the Olfa cutting mat is soft to the touch and my rotary cutting blades move across fabric on the mat very smoothly. It is also self-healing so I can't even see where I cut on it. Thank you Olfa for designing a cutting mat that is so wonderful to use!

These cutting mats really filled my need to have a large cutting surface on an existing table. They stay together well with the included connectors and I also connected another mat that I already owned to make an even larger area.

I love this cutting mat! It's great for anyone with limited space, easy to use one, two or all three mats depending on garment size. I store mine in its box, slid between the wall and my bed. Excellent cutting surface, handy markings which continue and line up across all panels. I chose this over another mat and am very happy with my decision.

My old Fiskers mat was worn out. Not that it was a bad mat but it was the one panel size which meant that I would occasionally use my rotary cutter to the edge and pop off marring my cutting table and dulling my blade. To avoid that, I'd cut, then move the whole piece around so I'd be back on the matt & then I faced the problem of not the most accurate cut. I promised my self when I had to replace my mat I'd get the BIG one. I'm not disappointed. It does hang over on each edge of my cutting table (the standard white, sides flip up and down) but the whole table is covered & what a joy not to have to move my pieces! Nice cutting surface. Better grid than my old mat. My husband & son clipped it together (with a man's strength) and I haven't had any problems with shifting or coming apart which is what I was initially worried about. It is pricy but so far worth it---as long as it lasts for a while.
