The price on Amazon was good and I had ordered with other items so there was no shipping charge. I usually buy a different brand of Gems from another supplier. When the project was completed we sprayed it with lacquer to protect it from the elements. Much to our surprise these gems turned cloudy and dull. They can not be acrylic as advertised. They must be styrene or something other than acrylic. All of the gems left over from last years project did not go cloudy when sprayed with the protective coat of lacquer because they are real acrylic.
Amazon told me I would have to pursue the issue with the manufacturer.

Giant bag of plastic gemstones, what can really be said? I used them to gaudy up an old PC tower that I was giving away to a friend, came out perfect! The price was also outstanding, I checked major discount retail and craft stores (at least 4) and they only sold them in tiny packets for about the same price as this 1 pounder. Buy it here.
