I am a teacher and make fossils for my students every year using plaster of paris. I have used this type and it was exactly like all of the other kinds I have used. I'm not sure what the other reviewer was talking about, but this product is what it claims to be: plaster of parisit's all the same. Some helpful hints: be ready to make a mess and be prepared to act quickly as it sets fast. That is the case, however, with any plaster of paris project. I am a fan of this product and I can't find a price that even comes close to thiswhat a deal!

I don't know how one rates plaster of paris. It either works or it doesn't, right? This one works so there ya go!

I use it to make my own chalk paint and gesso. It's so much cheaper to make your own and you can customize it to whatever consistency you want since you have complete control over the mixture.

When I took the top off the powder went everywhere there was no seal, nothing to help with this. This also does not harden enough, water can easily make it fall apart. I think I most of the ingredients just opening the lid. There's no better rating I can give this.
