I bought these to attach my dog's tags to her collar. I was tired of tearing up my fingernails every time a tag changed. These do the job. They are easy to open, just the right size, and they do not open accidentally. We'd been using binder rings and they would pop open occasionally and we'd have to go on a treasure hunt in the yard for the tags.
They also are really good for the large plastic keys that come with most vehicles, and for keys that you change frequently. I just clipped the long part off since I just wanted to use the rings.
