Beautiful, smooth crochet hook, with grooves at the end to keep yarn from slipping off while a person is knitting. If you like to use crochet hooks to pick up stitches to slip onto knitting needles, instead of picking up stitches with your knitting needles, the grooves make the yarn slide off with a bit more difficulty, but it's not bad.
All in all, I still use these for that type of work, and they are Much nicer to use than aluminum, easier to hold, hands don't get as tired. Unless a person has a real problem with arthritis in your working hand, I would use these for all crochet work. Real arthritis needs the hooks with a padded handle, but they're no good for transferring yarn to knitting needles, of course.
