These knitting needles are much nicer for me than plastic or metal needles, and they're much quieter. They're longer than other needles I have, which makes it easier to knit larger pieces and to keep stitches on when I set the work down.
The only thing missing is easy-to-read sizes. The sizes are etched in tiny numbers on the side of each needle, but I took a Sharpie and wrote the size numbers on the ends. There's plenty of room to write the sizes, so it wasn't too much of an issue.
Oriental Touch also has wonderful customer service. They were very helpful when I emailed them, and I highly recommend purchasing from them.

I had been looking and looking for just a few sizes that I needed to fill in my set, but couldn't find them all in one place (to save on shipping costs.) Then, I found this bamboo set on Amazon.com and the entire set was less expensive that the few pairs I was looking for. When they arrived (& quickly), I was a little worried before I opened the envelope because the outer packaging wasn't very substantial. However, all the needles were fine. I started using a couple pairs for some baby items I am knitting and thought they were great! Very smooth and fast! They are lightweight and feel very comfortable in the hand. I am now going to order the long needle set and the circular needles. Hopefully, I will have as good luck with them as I have with this set. I will retire all my old aluminum needles.I agree with the reviewer who said that the sizes in tiny print on the sides of the needles are a little difficult to read. But, like her, I simply took a Sharpie and wrote the numbers on the tops and that works fine. All in all, based on my experience so far, I highly recommend this set of needles.

This set was recommended to me as a good value. I agree that the price is excellent, but I'm getting increasingly (ha, no pun intended!) disappointed with the needles. One of the size 7's arrived visibly warped. That's one of my most-used sizes! Luckily for me, I have another pair of that size, so I didn't make an issue out of it.
But another problem arose last night as I was knitting with the size 6...a little splinter came out of the tip of one, and it started to snag my yarn. I'm no expert, but I don't think that should happen! Again, luckily, I have another pair of 6's, so I could keep on going, but I'm starting to get a little annoyed at the low quality of these needles. They were only $25, but I could have spent that money toward a better set, had I known.
I think in this case, it seems like you get what you pay for.

Anyone that has priced single sets of bamboo DPNs knows these can run $6.00+ /set. I purchased the SPNs as well. They are a little rougher than the the higher-priced, store-bought needles but you can rub the needles with waxed paper to make them slick.
