These markers work very well. At first, they didn't seem to work, but I figured out that you have to press the tip in MANY times before the chalk comes down. Now I never have an issue with them and my grocery board looks sweet.

Although the actual chalk marker works the way I hoped it would by providing an easy and astheticaly pleasing alternative to writing on a chalkboard, the problem is it just doesn't erase. I have tried the damp cloth (as suggested) and also a damp cloth with a little dish soap and neither option removes this marker. So, now I have a chalkboard with everything that was written on it STUCK there FOREVER! Very frustrating. I felt like this product was over-priced to begin with, but now knowing these markers are just flat out garbage, makes me extremely frustrated. Stick with regular chalk and don't buy this. If anyone out there has found a way to remove the markers, I'd love to hear it.

I purchased this product so that I'd have an easy way of labeling glass jars and foods that we store in the fridgewith dates, and wanted it to be easily washable. This product meets the mark and all four colors provided here look like they would be useful for this purpose.

The colors are vibrant and true, and unlike some other brands I've tried, no significant fading after the chalk dries. I use them specifically on chalkboard labels & they wipe clean after a few swipes with a magic eraser. Recommended.

I bought these markers to use on a decorative chalkboard in my kitchen. I usually update the message seasonally or monthly. I used these markers back in May (it is now July) to write a summer message, but when I went to erase my chalkboard, I couldn't get the chalk to come off. The instructions say that the colors will wipe away easily with a damp cloth...but they don't. After googling how to remove chalk markers, nail polish remover finally did the trick, but it took away most of the chalkboard finish AND my "happy summer" message can still be seen as a shadow on the board. What a disappointment. Now I am off to Michaels to buy chalkboard paint to re-paint my chalkboard and regular old colored chalk for future messages. If you're going for a permanent look, this is a great product. If you want the wipe-off convenience of chalk, STAY AWAY from this product!!
