With some stamped cross-stitch blocks, the X's are too pale, too faint, which can be hard on the eyes. This one doesn't have that problem. The X's are quite dark and easy to see.
You'll need 14 skeins to finish the 6 blocks -14 light and 6 dark. I wish sellers would include thread requirements in the product description. It'd be helpful when you want to shop for thread at the same time you shop for the blocks.
The instructions are easy to follow, although they're not really necessary, since you can see by the photo which color goes where.
If you're new to stamped cross-stitch, don't do what I did with my first kit, many years ago. I thought the fabric was too stiff so I washed it. Washing it removes the stamped design. Live and learn!
