I am a needle lover. I have needles of every type in my collections. I tried these at the suggestion of my friend and knitting buddy. They are wonderful. I am a confirmed sock knitter and found these great for that purpose. The points are very fine which makes them great for getting into the small stitches of sock yarn, and great for lace work as well. The tips are flexable and very sturdy. I returned the original nedles I bought as they had a 40 cm cord and I use a 40" cord, however that does not change the fact that they are wondeful. I will be securing a total of 3 pairs for my sock knitting a US size 0,1,and 2. All will have 40" cords for my magic loop work. The cords are note worthy. The are smooth and soft so they do not get you caught up in twisted stiff and annoying needle cords. The cords have not kinked or bent in a way that mars them. I have had this prblem wth other needles. I love these and if they make a intechangeable set I will probably buy them even though I have 4 interchangable sets already.

These needles have a bit of a different feel, slightly ridged. They knit very nicely and the yarn doesn't 'hang', it doesn't slip quickly and takes a bit of getting used to. But, I've been knitting with a slick yarn and these needles kept it under control.
The tips are a bit short for me, but I think that's because the needles are short.

I love these. They are just the right blend of smooth-tipped and grip-able middle. The only reason they aren't getting 5 stars is that the joins seem to have become less smooth after a couple of projects. The carbon-to-metal areas are fine, but the metal-to-cord areas aren't doing so super.
