I bought this set for my 6 year old daughter who loves to draw and paint. She loves it! It is so easy for her to draw a picture with the pencils, then brush over her drawing, and voila she has a watercolor painting! It comes in a nice zippered case, compact, and easy to take places. My mom is also taking painting classes, and I would like to get this set for her, as well. All around good product.

I actually bought this set for the case. I wanted something easy to carry and versatile, and this is both. It's also not black. All my other pencil, marker, and brush cases are black, so it's great to have one that's another color, and I like pink.

The watercolor pencils are R&L, so they are good quality. They are now residing in my big pencil case with all my other watercolor pencils, where they are happily at home and used frequently.

More importantly, the pink case is now home to a "grab-&-go" set of my favorite soft core colored pencils and a small pad of mixed media paper (and a few pre-cut ATC papers). The distinctive color means I never open up the case only to find I have the wrong one, and it comes with an eraser and sharpener, so all I needed to add was a small ziploc baggie for the pencil shavings and I'm all set to create, no matter where I go. Love it!

This set is just perfect for both at home and away use. All of the supplies stay neatly in their place and when the picture is completed, you can turn the pencil markings into watercolor 'paint' at home. Wonderful and not at all messy, even when using while traveling. The zippered case keeps the supplies from getting lost and my grand daughter feels very much the grown up artist carrying it around by its strap. The small size of the case does limit the size of the drawing that fits inside but for a young child that's not a problem smaller is better.

This is a very high quality set. I purchased it for my daughter's 10th birthday and I think she will love it. The set is larger than I thought, but this is a good thing. I am seriously considering buying the sketching set for myself.

The container is really cute and portable. The pencil colors and texture weren't as good as another brand I used to have that came in a tin. But this would make a great gift for a little girl who wants to paint during a flight or roadtrip.
