This tambour needle arrived not only on time, but exactly as described. I needed it for very detailed tambour embroidery work and was very glad to find this for sale on Amazon. I do wish that the handle was slightly sturdier but overall the quality is great. Looking forward to using it!

The handle and needles are as described. Shipping was excellent. If you buy the Tambour needle set you need to buy the loop and stand to hold fabric. I have used it without and had success; however, it was very difficult. I highly recommend this item. As soon as this post I will search for a modest price frame with stand.Best Deals for Tambour Needle Set W/Wood Handle-Three Needles
It IS what it said it was. I haven't used it yet but I love the interchangeability of needles it offers :-)Honest reviews on Tambour Needle Set W/Wood Handle-Three Needles
In terms of service, I received my package on time and in good condition. In terms of the product itself, the tambour beading tool (similar to a crochet hook) perfect for beginners and is cheaper than buying directly from Laci's (the people who produce it). It comes with three needles in varying sizethe smallest one in Laci's line of needles, the next to largest one and a medium one from their needle line. Each needle can be screwed in and out easily. The packaging comes with some basic instructions on how to use the tool which is helpful for beginners of this technique.
In terms of actual use, the tool is super sturdy and the variety of needles is really important depending on the type of material, thread (and possibly beads) that one is using. Though it takes a little while to get used to the technique, this tool really streamlines the process, and you are able to do particularly beaded appliques quite quickly.
I personally prefer this type of tool compared to the more popular kantan hook tools... which are similar but have more of a latch hook on them. This comes down to personal preference but I prefer tambour to the kantan tools because the latch hook can get caught really easily and is less able to work with a variety of fabric options. Both tools will require some practice to get the "hang of it," but I think you will be happy with the speed that an experienced handler can get with the tambour technique.
