This product runs too small in diameter for my fingers. What a disappointment! It is great for ironing, especially when sewing or quilting and need to put your finger close to the iron.

I've been scrapbooking for about ten years now; occasionally I branch out into other crafts like cardmaking, decoupage, and sewing. These markers have served me so well over the past 5 years! My only complaint about the pens is that a few of them really don't match the color of the marker's cap at all. Like the lavender one that is actually a really dark plum color. Never did figure that out! But I love using them in my scrapbooking and the colors are very versatile.

I have wanted these zig markers for over 2 years but always stopped short of buying them because of the price. The 48 pack is much more expensive in stores (I've seen them for 100+ dollars..).

I am so glad that I bought the set. I have found use for them every day for 3 weeks... whether it be writing in a homemade card, grading essays, scrapbooking, noting in my planner... these markers are inspiring me to do things that I have put off doing for years. I think if you are considering purchasing them then you should go ahead and do it -you won't be sorry!

:)

Best Deals for EK Success Writer Dual-Tip Scrapbooking Marker Set, 48 Pack

With these pens and a little skill and patience I've been able to mimic how artwork made with colored pencils look as well as watercolor paintings. These pens blend very nicely which is a plus but can also be problematic. Because of their ability to blend they will pull ink along with your pen stroke, which means that if you have outlined a drawing with a black micron pen as I have done that these pens will blend/smear those lines. Even after the black lines have dried they will still smear if you aren't careful when using these. I'm guessing that all water-based pigment inks will do this, just something to keep in mind.

These pens are also very nice quality. First of all they are Archival & Lightfast. This is important, you might not think about it at first but I've used other pens with great colors of a different brand that started to fade from light within two months and then your artwork is pretty much hosed. They say they are Waterproof but that really means that they water-resistant. You can easily smear the ink with water, or saliva if you are so inclined, which can be used in artistic ways so don't automatically discount them for that. Acid-free is always a must or you'll start seeing weird things happening in your artwork eventually. Non-bleeding is also claimed but that really depends on the type of paper you are using, BUT, if you hold one of these against a sheet of paper it will not create a puddle of ink on the paper around the tip of the pen and that's probably what they are talking about here. You might be surprised at how many pens will do that, even some that are suppose to be used for super fine lines. I made a couple of lightfast test sheets using the zig ink (from a different set of pens) and found that if you use them on cotton they might bleed a tiny tiny bit, watercolor they don't bleed at all, and on normal archival sketchbook paper they are great. I have not had any issues of them bleeding through paper either & I have practically soaked my sketchbook paper with color when blending and mixing colors, so overall the Non-Bleeding is pretty accurate.

The colors are fantastic. 48 colors is more than enough to get practically any color you need either by a pen being that color to start with or by blending a few of the colors on paper. The two sides with two different sizes of nibs are pretty much amazing. .5mm on one side and 1.2mm on the other great for fine lines as well as being able to fill in large areas quickly with color! I love the colors but some of the caps that represent what the colors are suppose to look like are misleading. The ones that stuck out the most when I did a color test on my archival sketchbook paper (I mention the type of paper used because other paper might yield slightly different results from the teeth in the paper or how much the paper soaks up the ink) are:

Pure Pink comes out looking significantly darker than the cap and looks pretty close to a color between the Pure Pink and Fuchsia.

The Wheat & Apricot are VERY similar, it's like the same color but with slight tints of orange & tan.

Pure Red comes out a bit darker than the cap, but is acceptable.

Antique Burgundy comes out darker while the cap looks closer to how Spice comes out.

Baby Blue is a little lighter than the cap.

Salmon is considerably darker/redder than the cap color.

English Lavender comes out darker.

Kiwi is a bit darker while the cap looks kinda neon.

Pure Blue comes out a very nice dark blue, the cap however has some purple coloring in it, so the ink is accurate but the cap color is NOT a Pure Blue.

Denim comes out lighter.

Splash comes out darker.

Navy comes out slightly lighter, the cap is very dark.

Pure Green doesn't look anything like the cap when it comes out other than being a green color, the cap color is a good color for a Pure Green but the color that comes out is more of a blueish grass green.

Pure Violet comes out quite dark compared to the cap.

Platinum is a nice grey but comes out darker than the cap.

Steel Grey is the color you would imagine for that color but the cap is considerably bluer.

Overall the color differences don't really bother me much, you just have to know what they will come out looking like and work with it.

These markers/pens are by far the best I have used.

******************************************************

Edit I just took a closer look at the colors shown on the back of the container (I added a customer photo of the back of the container just FYI). If you assume that those colors are accurate you're going to be a sad camper. I think those are even more inaccurate than the color test I made comparing the caps to the actual colors. Here's the list of those that jump out at me:

Pure Pink, again, this time it looks like it's suppose to be a pink bubble gum color. The color square for Pure Pink is closer to the color that Salmon turned out to be.

Pure Green, same issue as with the cap color looking great this color square looks great, but the actual ink color is nowhere near that color.

Pure Brown is actually redder than the color square.

Pure Orange is practically a neon orange so this color square is nowhere near the right color. Closer to what Apricot turns out to be.

Pure Violet is darker than the color square.

Salmon... I don't think the actual color matches either the cap or the color square. This ink turns out to be missing all of the orange color that makes salmon a salmon color. The actual ink is much closer to looking like the Pure Pink color square.

Baby Pink is much much lighter than the color square.

English Lavender is much more of a plum color than the color square.

Evergreen, that color square should have gone with Hunter Green.

Spring Green is yellower than the color square.

Island Coral. Nope. Ink is the color of the Salmon color square.

Candy Pink is practically a neon pink color, brighter & lighter than the color square.

Clover is much lighter than that.

Summer Sun has more orange in it than the color square.

Peach Bliss is actually more of a light pinkish color and not so much a pale orange like the color square.

Orchid is close but not quite right, more purple in the ink or something.

Fawn isn't quite that orange.

Fuchsia is a little lighter than the color square.

Rose is pinker than the color square.

Coffee has a bit more orange in it than the color square.

I began scrapbooking roughly ten years ago and out of all the pens I ever owned over the years, my Zig pens are the best. ALL my gel pens are crap. Every other brand has begun to dry out. Not the zig! I love them. I can't wait to order this big mama set so I can finally have ALL the colors!!

I originally purchased this brand of markers more than 12 years. My original and smaller set of markers, with the exception of ONE pen, is still in use! I recently bought the 48-pack for the quantity and array of available colors. I anticipate many years of creativity ahead!

Each pen has a fine tip and a broad tip very useful and fun!

The pens are of good quality no fading, no smearing, no "bleeding" and the ink is waterproof.

Color-coordinated pens were used to address Save the Date cards and wedding invitations with no worries of the envelopes arriving at their destinations in anything but perfect condition at least as far as the ink was concerned!

These have worked well for bracelets and dog callors. Leaves a little room for adjustment. They seem strong and so far all the dog callors I have made customers like them and can fasten license and ID tags to the shacles.

I have been looking for a good price on bow shackles to make my 550 bracelets. I have had no luck finding them in small lots (1-10, I'm not selling just making for personal use) for less than ~$2/ea. Not even the ugly, scratchy galvanized ones. I ran across this lot with the adjusters and was really happy to see the price. $2.20/ea for stainless shackles with adjusters is roughly half the price I've been seeing. I jumped on the deal assuming it was another "amazon undercutting price" that would go away in a couple of minutes. Seems that wasn't the case, still happy I jumped. I received my shackles in less than 48 hours from ordering them. They came packaged very nicely, all together in a resealable (think hardware store blister packaging not ziploc) baggie and good sturdy cardboard box around them, way better than needed. The free cable tie is a nice little bonus. I know it's just a silly cheap strip of Velcro with advertising on it but I kinda have of thing for them so I was happy to get it.

The bows are nice (even if austenitic ... i.e.non-magnetic) stainless steel and worth this price without the adjusters. My only "complaint" (I quote because I'm not really a complaining or concerned) is that the adjusters are not also stainless steel. There is a "seam" all the way around (bisecting the holes) in the "chrome" on them. I decided to sacrifice one (figured I could always just paint it black) and filed away one seam between two holes. The coating filed off VERY easily and reveals a "light copper" color metal underneath. It's not heavy enough to be copper or steel, but heavier than aluminum. Without getting silly on testing for no real good reason I'm going to say it's bronze of some type (copper/zinc alloy). It's smells/tastes of copper, and when compared to a freshly filed penny (to get through the 100% copper coating) it's nearly the same color. I wouldn't think it's more than 3% (U.S. Pennys are 2.5%) copper at most.

The metal is relatively soft, not nearly soft enough to deform or bend from the intended use, probably not even if you hung from them, but compared to my file extremely soft, it left some pretty good gouges. I suggest trying some higher grit sandpaper instead of a file if you decide to clean your off.

When I used the for FIMO, the same brand as the tools, trace amounts of clay would get stuck underneath the molding lines. This problem, however, is easily fixable by shaving it off with a knife.

The product worked very well, but it isn't something that will be very quick. Start to finish for us took about 1 1/2 hours which includes the exciting body rub ;) with the lubricant, to laying out a proper space with cushions and the drop plastic so she will be comfortable.

My wife and I received this from her sister-in-law for Christmas, which she had mentioned she had wished she had done something like this, and we are pretty grateful she did as it was a thoughtful gift.

I will agree that the packaging doesn't really have wonderful instructions but in lieu of that I will add some for someone looking to buy and do this.

Instructions:

1) Make sure you have a fairly open area and space enough 5x6 to insure that the plaster isn't getting on anything else. Give it will be about an hour of her sitting still it helps to put some pillows and cushions under the drop cloth and possibly give her a little angle back so it isn't too uncomfortable.

2) Cut the plaster strips into 60% 12 inch strips 30% 6-8 inch strips 10% 4 inch strips. (It is quite possible you will have enough to leave about a half roll to full roll for later to smooth out and clean up the cast)

3) Get a 8-15 quart bowl of water to dip the strips the bigger it is makes it easier and I would say use room temp water so it isn't too shocking, so to say, for her.

4) After she is properly disrobed, rub on the lubricant over the affected areas. The lubricant seems to be a wax/petroleum jelly mix. You can do this with gloves on or off, which although it can be sensual, due to the mess and task at hand the gloves help. You will need to wash off the residue before starting with the plaster strips. Make sure that you cover her so you the skin is well coated and shiny as this will help in the removal.

5) Dip strips in the water letting as much drip off in a couple shakes, and apply on to her body starting at either the top or bottom. It helps with the strength of the strips to also go vertically as well as horizontally across the body. You definitely want to get at least 5-6 layers thick for strength afterwards.

One tricky area is the breasts and nipple which are sensitive and I would recommend some of the smaller strips there. Take the strips and lift up the breast so that it gets completely under it, after a few layers there and as the cast slowly dries you can lift them a little (almost like a bra) to get a better looking caste, which I am sure she will be grateful for. :)

One thing to do while applying the strips to the body is to rub over them softly so that the plaster smooths out and you no longer see the little holes. If areas dry a bit and you see the holes just dip your fingers enough to moisten the area and rub it a little to soften the plaster enough to cover.

6) After you have covered her properly, which the plaster does start to harden quickly give her about 10-15 minutes after you are done so the plaster is set enough and wont damage in the removal.

7) Slowly start pulling at the bottom of the cast and this is a moment to be patient, this is much like removing a cake from a silicone baking form, so too fast and you might get cracks. You will feel though as the caste slowly pulls away from the skin which she should be sure to guide you.

8) I set up some plastic bags to give the cast some support for after it was removed. Set it aside which after 24 hours it should be hard. At this point is you want to use some of the extra strips you have set aside you can smooth out or add strength to areas that might not have been completely strong.

That should do it as it worked pretty well for us. I do think this is a fun thing to do together and I recommend it for any parents to be.

Click Here For Most Helpful Customer Reviews >>

The kit was really easy to use. You're basically dipping pre-plastered strips in warm water and sticking it to your body. Like the previous comment, I would also recommend putting pillows underneath the plastic sheet because my back started killing me half-way through the process. I think it would have been a more enjoyable experience that way. Since the plaster dries pretty easily I wouldn't recommend sitting up while doing this because the entire cast will fall off, so precut your strips and get comfortable before starting. The sheet is pretty big, but if you happen to get the plaster on something it comes off fairly easily.

She hasn't decided yet how she is going to finish it yet, there are a ton of examples on the internet. You can leave it plain or go crazy with paint and other decorations. Either way, it will be a wonderful reminder of her beautiful pregnant belly. I only wish I would have known about something like this when I was pregnant twenty years ago!

I have been scrapbooking/card making for over 10 years.Have always used standard chalk sets found @ Michael's or eksuccess tower ones. I am very surprised and pleased with the quality of these Pebbles chalks. You don't have to overload your applicator; colors are true; the applicator w/ alligator clip for cotton is easy to use. I had always used q-tips or cotton balls but learned that the multi-size cotton balls that come w/ the set are easier to use and more practical. I have bought the brights and earth tone sets. I would recomment either to anyone wanting to use chalks.

i got this punch because i made my own wedding programs. i made a booklet type program and got this punch to make the holes so i could place brads to hold it together. i had to punch through two pieces of cardstock and five pieces of paper and had no trouble. it took very little effort surprisingly (i had experimented with another punch and had to use a significant amount of strength). i loved the way they turned out and was super pleased with this product!!

If you are a quilter who uses templates, you know how important accuracy is to making all the pieces fit together as they should. I found that when I used plain templates, sometimes the quilt pieces wouldn't fit properly. I was using the quarter inch method sewing a quarter inch from the edge. If the seam allowances were just a tiny bit off, then the quilt would never fit together properly. I started punching a little hole in the template wherever the seam ends. Then all you have to do is match the little dots on the two pieces you are sewing. You just sew from one point to the next. This little hole punch is perfect for marking these points on your quilting templates.

Best Deals for Fiskars 12-23508897 Hand Punch, 1/16-Inch, Circle

This punch is not for everyone! It punches a super small hole 1/16". I personally find my 1/8" punch the most practical and necessary punch to own, BUT this punch works really well for smaller tags and smaller holes needed for string or smaller width ribbon! Very easy to use, and keep your work space clean the punch has a confetti collector attached. I recommend this for the avid crafter...otherwise go with the 1/8" punch which is amazing for most projects! To give an idea of size, the 1/4" hole punch is the usual punch size in the office i.e. a sheet of paper.

Honest reviews on Fiskars 12-23508897 Hand Punch, 1/16-Inch, Circle

This nifty hole puncher certainly gets the job done at our house and childcare! I use it frequently to hang up the kids' art (punches construction paper effortlessly), create lacing projects for them (through thick, 5-7mm lamination), and let the kids punch holes in paper. If it's held up to my constant use AND that of the kids, you know it's durable. The grips are comfy (and have never fallen off), it punches through a few pieces of paper smoothly, and I LOVE LOVE LOVE that it catches the punches instead of dropping them all over my floor (I then save those for the kids to use wherever their artisitc creativity takes them). The puncher doesn't get stuck like many others I have used. The price was ever-so-slightly higher than what I wanted to pay, but it's ergonomic handles are infintely better than the basic metal punchers I'm used to.

Unfortunately everything else was too big. This little hole punch was a perfect match for me. I recommend it to all my artist friends who have the same dilemna! Thanks, Fiskars!

I am just learnig Tunisian crochet and already have a book to learn Tunisian lace stitches. Since I already knit and crochet, this is easy and fun. Since Tunisian crochet is so dense, you really need to make samples to check your gauge, which I never bothered with in regular crochet. Because of this you may need 2 or 3 needle sizes for just one project. Then you need a hook as long of the piece is wide. If you do not want to buy a ton of hooks with all different sizes and lengths to make everything from a coaster to a blanket, you need this set of hooks and extensions. If you do not know Tunisian crochet, you work each row twice, first picking up stiches that look like the stiches on a knitting needle, then crocheting them off. I found these easy to join together and use.

It IS what it said it was. I haven't used it yet but I love the interchangeability of needles it offers :-)

Honest reviews on Tambour Needle Set W/Wood Handle-Three Needles

In terms of service, I received my package on time and in good condition.

In terms of the product itself, the tambour beading tool (similar to a crochet hook) perfect for beginners and is cheaper than buying directly from Laci's (the people who produce it). It comes with three needles in varying sizethe smallest one in Laci's line of needles, the next to largest one and a medium one from their needle line. Each needle can be screwed in and out easily. The packaging comes with some basic instructions on how to use the tool which is helpful for beginners of this technique.

In terms of actual use, the tool is super sturdy and the variety of needles is really important depending on the type of material, thread (and possibly beads) that one is using. Though it takes a little while to get used to the technique, this tool really streamlines the process, and you are able to do particularly beaded appliques quite quickly.

I personally prefer this type of tool compared to the more popular kantan hook tools... which are similar but have more of a latch hook on them. This comes down to personal preference but I prefer tambour to the kantan tools because the latch hook can get caught really easily and is less able to work with a variety of fabric options. Both tools will require some practice to get the "hang of it," but I think you will be happy with the speed that an experienced handler can get with the tambour technique.

I used this little tambour needle and it is amazing to work with! I love how easy embroidering is with this little guy!!! It is very well made. The neesle is held securely with the attachment screw and the wooden handle is very comfortable and well finished. The price was excellent too!!!

I really love these bamboo needles. Much smoother than other bamboo needles I have tried. I recommand them without hesitation.

As every knitter knows, knitting needles are a personal preference. I'm really happy with the connection between the cord and the bamboo needle and I the fact that the bamboo hold the stitches just enough as to not slip but not to much that I have to pull and push. These are both really important. However, in the larger size (I also have the set of smaller needles), I would have preferred a sharper tip. This could be a problem if you knit tightly. So as far as a personal fit for me, they aren't perfect, therefore the 4 star rating and not 5.

I love these needles! They screw one easily and the joint is very smooth. No seam or catching at all. I've knitted two projects on them now and they never losen or come apart. The cable is very pliable too. I previously used the knit picks interchanable needles and the Hiya Hiya perform so much better. I always had trouble with those coming apart and catching on my yarn. Wish I had bought Hiya Hiya long ago. I can find no fault with them at all. A+!
