I had a large job custom setting costumes. It wasn't huge, about 3 hour. At first the machine worked well but the more I used it suction stopped working until the vacuum completely stopped working.
The only reason I am giving this 3 stars, Amazon replaced it 3 days later. I don't reply on it now and only use it for short jobs. Perfect for delicate fabrics like a wedding dress or costumes.

This tool interested me from the time I first learned of it over a year ago, it went on my wish list. Finally, it was time to make the plunge and I eagerly awaited the package. The premise of this tool is genius, I have used other popular tools to set rhinestones and always have trouble with the stones sticking in the tool, the vacuum suction would negate all the past troubles. As soon as I unpacked the box, I knew I had trouble on my hands -there was a distinctive rattle in the power box. Nevertheless, I carefully followed the directions and pre-heated the unit and set out a selection of different sized stones. The vacuum was magical and I was delighted . . . until I waited and waited and waited for the glue to heat, that didn't happen very quickly but I was finally able to set that stone. The two smaller tips cup the stones and allow them to heat, while the tip for larger stones is too flat to heat the stone and glue very quickly. After a second sample stone, I was ready for the real project of over 500 stones . . . Yup, you guessed it -the unit abruptly quit after setting ONE. Thankfully, Amazon is a fantastic retailer and allows for returns and refunds.
