These Cavallini stamps are very nice, but as one person above me has mentioned, they are not mounted properly. The company has decided to mount the rubber straight on the wood and skip the foam. Not mentioning they did not trim the dove or at least center it, which causes it to be rocked a bit for proper stamping and gets a small halo around the image which is next to unavoidable. These are gorgeous graphics and for the money the company asks, I have no idea how they can think about skipping the foam. I have bought tons of stamps and even the cheapest ones have foam backing. With practice, these can be used, but I don't use them too often because of the poor mounting. I would definitely rip my hair out if by the time I'm done distressing the background paper and then I stamp the image, there is a halo around it. It really makes one's work look cheap or inexperienced when that is not the case, it's the stamp.

As a professional crafter with a business of my own, I often use rubber stamps. Cavallini's are beautiful stamps in a charming tin case mounted on lovely wood blocks. The problem? Any crafter with rubber stamping experience will take one look at Cavallini's stamps and see the problem: they lack the foam portion between the block & the stamp itself. The foam is an important detail, necessary to create a stamp that distributes pressure evenly. In layman's terms, it can be very difficult at times to get the entire image stamped. When I use Cavallini's stamps, often the center of the image doesn't imprint. Very frustrating.

Take note, Cavallini! You need to redesign your stamps to be like the ones they sell in craft stores: they need the foam! Otherwise half the time they're worthless.

I am enjoying these stamps so much. They make clear and crisp impressions. I was surprised at how large the tin package was when I received it from the photos it looked rather small. The stamps are all of a nice size and so really show up when you use them. If you want to add a little flair to you correspondence then these stamps are for you!!!

I have used these for so many things. The set is a bit pricey, but after a while you will get your money's worth out of them. Only thing is, I hate the ink. It seems to bleed and blur, so I don't even bother with it.

I use these with my Staz-On ink pad and have been more than happy!

I adore the Cavallini stamp sets, they're all great. I love that they have a nice tin for storage and that the sets are so versatile and go together so well. The various designs compliment each other nicely. Fun set, this Paris postage cllection can be used many ways.
