The retractable measuring tape broke the day I got it after only 3 normal measurements. When I tried to retract it back, it would just lock up at the next spot (and I was doing it quickly). This happened several times all the way to the max length of the tape and that was it, permanently stuck all the way extended. Then it went into the trash where it belonged.

I originally intended to purchase just a retractable measuring tape, but once I saw the set, I figured two was better than one. Turns out that has been true! I used to have a loose tape, which I used often but kind of dreaded using because of having to roll it back up. Now I'm able to keep the retractable tape in my junk drawer for quick household measurements (it's smaller and takes up less room than a standard measuring tape). I now only use the loose tape for body measurements and sizing. I also have a new baby that I measure each month for the sake of recording in his baby book, and I find the retractable tape works well for capturing an accurate measurement of his wiggly and noncompliant body.

We have these push button, retractable tape measures on every desk in our business. I also carry one in a pocket as I often measure things when shopping. We prefer the brighter colored ones as they are easier to see than the dark blue. They are used every day; especially the millimeter and centimeter side. Just flip the unit over and the other side of the tape has inches or mm/cm. Both sides of the tape are printed with red on white. The 60 inch side has a typical 1/16", ⅛",¼", etc., measurement. The 150 centimeter side is printed with millimeter, 5 mm, cm, & every 10 cm is highlighted up to 150 cm. I've purchased only one that didn't work properly. It was yellow & came with the regular, foldable tape measure for only $1.49. However, the single, retractable tape measure can be bought in various colors for $1.97 in the sewing/fabrics department everyday at Wal___t. The foldable fiberglass tape we got was nice on the inch side. However, the mm/cm side was sectioned every other 10 centimeters in black blocks of thin, hard to see, white mm lines. But, the white sections of black print on white are much easier to see. Note that the photos of the foldable tape show different tapes. One is a stock photo; the other is the actual tape.

This is great! I like that it comes with both kinds of tape--one is great for weight, bust, etc. measurements and then the retractable one is excellent for random household measurements. A great, useful set at a great price.

I was pretty impressed with these chalk markers..... but not at first! Like with many liquid marker types, you need to shake it a bit at first, and then pump the pen QUITE A BIT on the surface in order to get the flow going. I am not sure if this is a first time thing only, or maybe after they are sitting for a day or week or more... I have nt had/used mine that long. I was just about to give up when the pen started working! (this should be done with the pen vertical on a flat surface to get it goin)

So, that little pet peeve aside.... THESE ARE VERY NICE!!

No odor (i'm sensitive to this and have a toddler that i don't want exposed to harsh chemicals/smells)

Great coverage and dries quickly! (even when going over your previous marks, it does not wipe it away like some markers do)

Cleans easily...just wiped with wet cloth.

So many uses.....windows, art projects, notes in the kitchen, labeling plastic storage containers (again and again, without leaving or using tape/labels and leaving a sticky residue)

I have not had mine for long, but would already recommend and would be willing to purchase in the future for myself or someone else! I will be updating my review when I have a good sense of how durable these are, how long the drawings/writing lasts, how many uses I get out of them, etc.

oh yeah, one little thing is that while in use, the lids do not fit onto the marker tops, I would prefer they did (as I loose track of small things like that with a toddler around), but this is in no way a deal breaker, just thought I would mention it.

After having these markers for a couple of months and using them more than a few times, I have to say I am STILL IMPRESSED.

I found out that you only have to "prime" them the first time, even after sitting for a few weeks, all you have to do is give them a shake and a few pumps and wha-la solid, beautiful colors! :)

My husband, my 22 month old daughter and myself all love these markers!

They don't smell(good for sensitive households like mine), they wash easily (good for everyone, especially those with small children), have nice colors, good coverage, and useful for so many things!

I work early mornings and leave before the family is awake so I use these markers to leave love notes on the bathroom mirrors, honey-do lists in the kitchen, to label the dishwasher as clean/dirty, so hubby knows what to do ;), also its great for my daughter to play with on the kitchen surfaces (fridge, dishwasher, trash compactor, oven) while I am in there cooking/cleaning :)

I have also used them in getting more organized... in my art station (and everywhere), I use these markers to label plastic bins so I can easily know what's inside without digging. I know I can always wipe it off and change it when/if needed, and I don't have to deal with labeling with a sticker or tape that might leave a mess to deal with :)

I also think these will come in handy during holiday decorations!

I received these markers in the mail on time. The packaging in suitable, the directions are on the markers which is nice. The markers function properly and they remove as stated. The only thing that I found a drawback is the caps/lids are not saveable on the ends of the markers. Big disappointment for me. I feel these type of markers are not solely for adults but, more of a product for children/youth to use and as a mother I am aware how children have difficulty in keeping track of things that have multiple pieces. If that is not an issue for you then these are great markers.

These chalk markers are great! My son enjoys to draw on the window and they're super easy to wipe off! They'd probably be much better for drawing on car windows with rather than using the old school shoe polish on the car window! I can't wait to decorate the windows for the holidays with these! I think the earthy colors will be great for fall. There are 10 markers so this really is a great deal!

I had heard about the pan pastels, but never used them or saw them used. I discovered that they are easy to use, and the pastels are in clear containers that protect them, yet you can easily see the color at a glance. They are easily to use and the pastel stays long, without too much dust. You can tone an area quickly and then go over with more detail.

These are NOT the cheap "hog bristle" brushes that you see in Michael's for 99 cents each. These are a nice, soft synthetic bristle ideal for acrylic and oil painting and the rounds are even ok for some watercolor stuff. This is an excellent buy. I see brushes of this quality in the art stores for at least $6-$8 for each brush--more for the larger size ones. Case is a little "stiff", but I'm sure it will soften up with use.

I am absolutely thrilled about this purchase. I had never colored any "advanced" color by number pictures, so I really didn't know what to expect. The quality of the canvas board the picture you color is printed on is really great. Nice, thick and durable. I have had the product for over a week now, and am still not half way through the first picture! Well worth the money. And I do plan on buying the other varieties once I am finished with this one!

The only complaints I have are really minor. The color by number charts for each picture are normal sized paper, which makes some parts really hard to see and follow. The pencil leads are a bit soft it seems, I have to sharpen them often for precision. And the number chart for which color is what number is on the back of the box, meaning I have to keep it around. But that is not so much a bad thing since I also need the box to determine if I am supposed to color a light shade of the color, or a darker shade of the color, which is another small hassle.

This was my first airbrush which I bought for scale modeling and model railroading. I chose this brush over the Badger's newer offering, the Renegade Velocity because it was $40 cheaper and had a slightly larger tip making it more of an all around brush.

The first thing I noticed when opening the case -which it comes with a nice padded case that snaps shut -is that the build quality is very well done. The brush feels solid and sturdy in your hand. The back half of the handle area screws off and on with ease. The trigger pulls back smooth. One interesting feature of this brush is that it has a cut away on the back half that lets you remove the needle without taking the handle off. This works but I've found it's easier to put the needle back into the brush without the handle on, so most of the time I just take it off anyways.

Another feature of this brush is that it has a trigger tension adjustment. It comes from the factory set to max (which the instructions point out should be fine for most people) but there is also a small tensioning nut that lets you loosen it up a bit.

From reading the manual that it came with it seems to include a lifetime warranty. For the first year Badger will replace/repair anything for you at their cost and after the first year they will replace/repair manufacturer defects provided that you pay for shipping.

Overall I've been very happy with this brush choice. I should point out though that compared to the Renegade Velocity the one thing this brush does not have is a trigger stop which lets you limit how far back the trigger can be pulled. While that is a nice-to-have I haven't yet come upon a situation where that was really necessary (then again maybe I haven't used it enough to hit that situation).

Update October 2012

A year and a half later and this air brush is still going great. Aside from looking into the cup or into the nozzle, it almost looks new. This is likely due to the polished finish which makes it easier to clean. I'm still on the original needle and nozzle. After every painting session, I thoroughly clean the color cup, then remove the needle and clean that separately. This only takes a few minutes but I suspect it has gone a long way towards keeping the brush in tip-top shape.

I've found the key to perfect operation is good choice of paints. I've shot both cheapo craft paint through this and paint which had been in the sun and was a bit too clumpy. Both did horrible and clogged the brush, resulting in me having to spend 15 minutes cleaning it out. On the flip side, good paint, properly thinned, goes on perfect, every single time. I've learned my lesson. Good pain just makes using the brush so much nicer of an experience.

I am a longime 1/35th scale armor modeller and have been using a Badger Anthem airbrush since 2005. I bought a Badger Patriot 2 years ago to try a gravity feed airbrush. while I prefer the larger Anthem trigger with its optional rubber top, it was easy to transition to the Patriot. The airbrush is well balanced and fits my hand just fine. I have no problems with spraying enamels or acrylics and find it a breeze to clean. The paint cup holds plenty for any 1/35th scale model and, with practice, the airbrush is capable of freehanding camouflage with a steady hand. This airbrush is an excellent choice for the beginner or experienced modeller who wants a well made general purpose airbrush.

The Badger Patriot 105 is a great starter airbrush for fine art and hobby applications. Its gravity fed so its easy to clean and switch colors fast! The only thing to note is that it has a .75mm needle which is rather large. So yes you will be able to get decently thin lines but if your looking for super fine lines I recommend something like the badger renegade velocity which is pretty much built the same with the exception that it has a .21mm needle which will help with your lines. All in all though i definitely recommend this it is well built and badger has a great reputation when it comes to their lifetime warranty!

My first real airbrush was the Badger Air-Brush Co 155 Anthem Airbrush and I love it. I really wanted a gravity feed next however. I was on a budget, so I took a chance and ordered PRECISION DUAL-ACTION AIRBRUSH Fine Detail Graphic Art. I had problems with that airbrush though. I fought with it for a while, but eventually I just gave up and accepted defeat. Maybe it was for the best because I ordered THIS airbrush and I'm very pleased! It came with a fine needle assembly which is interchangable with my Anthem so now I've got both fine and standard. I'm finding that the standard needle works great though and I may never use the fine. In any case, I think this is easier to clean than the siphon feed Anthem so I use this most of the time now. Love it!!

The product description says that it comes with eight colors so it is exactly what was expected. I have recommended this product to all of my friends with children. The "paintbrush" is the perfect size and shape for her little hands and the paint dries quickly. The paint comes out of her clothes and washes right off her skin. i would recommend this to intermediate artists like myself. i love how it turns into a case i just got it today. it doesnt give you instructions on how to put some pieces together but i figured it out by myself. im 15 and i love this product the company that make this is the company i will be buying from for my art supplies. the only con i dislike is when you carry it the top supplies falls out of the container and, the pastel is very messy and im afraid it will get all over the box if i carry it. the pros i like is that it comes with 2 sketchbooks one for charchol and graphite and one for pastel and pencils. If you purchased the supplies separately you would pay over 100. getting a easel that turns into a case and has all of the supplies for 60 dollars is a really good deal. But i would not recommend this too little kids they can easily swallow the pastel and charchol sticks.

Looked at other reviews that said wood box fell apart and items where broken, but said look at all the good ones. Look at how much this thing is actually going for on the original website ($120). It must be worth the money and on rare occasions things happen.

Well let me tell you!!!

1. Front piece of wood that has bottom part of the latch fell of immediately. Looks like it was never glued or nailed down in the first place. That didn't bother so much because I own crazy glue. Problem fixed in seconds.

2. ALL SIX charcoal pencils in bottom drawer are broken into AT LEAST three pieces. No I did not do this. They were like this the first time I opened the drawer.

3. What is this wood box made of??? Cheap cheap wood is used. I feel like the whole thing will fall apart soon.

So happy I didn't pay the $120 and got it for $65 on here with free shipping. Still upset I wasted that money on such a cheap item.
