As the other review mentioned, the color is a subtle gold and sparkly which is really pretty. However, I bought it to be used on a dark chocolate color paper for my URL but it is too transparent for the alphabet to show. If you plan on using it on a dark background, this may not work for you unless you use embossing powder as well to help your design stand out.

this stamp pad makes a nice deep gold image with a black overtone in it. it sparkles and looks classy without being too much glitter. the sparkle does not rub off. I really like it for some images, especially when I am doing gold embossing on other images on same project. very classy looking.

What I really like about this product is it washes off easily. I have a newborn and have been using the pads to "sign" cards to grandma and grandpa with his little hand print. Side note...feet are so much easier to do that with than hands! The pads are wet with plenty of ink, washes off quickly and easily, stores very well. I bought a couple of colors, my only complaint would be that the blue ice color looks more gray than blue.

I used this to stamp the date for my save-the-dates. This inkpad was easy to use, the ink is bright, and everything came out nicely.
