When I first uncapped the pen, the brush started losing hairs, then as I started inking, the tips separated and made it difficult to make a smooth line. This set might be good for toddlers or preschoolers, but anyone else will be frustrated by the low quality brush tip.

I would not recommend these to a traditional watercolorist as they are hard to keep a consistent ink flow... sometimes dry, sometimes dripping. Another drawback is that if they are not stored gently they WILL leak!!! And the ink is a mess once it leaks. HOWEVER, for certain usages, such as my personal work, these are GREAT for solid color application on paper and do a great job of laying flat without stroke marks. For me they simply happen to be one of those products that are a bit fickle and can anger you once in a while but are PERFECT for how I use them.

These are good for a base wash and covering large areas, but they are inconsistent in flow. I've gotten good at using the black for sketching, which gives a neat look. Colors are very strong and vivid, I've had some success in adding water with another brush to dilute them a bit and make them less opaque when needed. I haven't had leaking problems like it seems a lot of people do, but I leave them at my desk. I'll replace them when they run out, they are good for what I use them for, but defiantly not watercolor.
