This is my first purchase of any type of Copic Marker. At first I was scratching my head at the price considering I didn't know what the fuss was about when it comes to Copic markers. But I started drawing manga recently and I needed something to get the gray tones so my works wouldn't just be black and white. So I shelled out the money and bought these.

When I first touched paper with this marker I couldn't believe how smooth it felt, no resistance what so ever. The markers truly glide over the paper layering an even coat or adding darker areas with these markers are a breeze. It even comes with a nice .5 copic ink pen to sweeten the deal. If you're really into these types of markers I'd suggest you get something with more then just five markers. As for me these five tones are all I need for my endeavors, satisfied I am.

Copic markers are a joy to use, allowing you to create works of art on the simplest of papers. Thirstier papers will of course use up more ink, but the markers are refillable.

The Sketch markers come with a brush and a chisel tip, though I tend to use the brush tip most often. Tips are replaceable. Copics come singly, or in coordinated sets like this one, made up of colors that are complementary or blend well together.

Sketching Greys is actually a set of five neutral grey Sketch markers, and one black 0.5 Multiliner pen (most other sets of 6 Copics are all markers). The pen is permanent, and does not bleed when used with Copic inks, or other alcohol ink pens. It's an excellent tool for inking pencil drawings and making strong outlines. The markers are N0, N2, N4, N6 and N8, and are excellent for creating monochrome art, or supplementing other Copic colors.

It's a bit like using watercolors, and the shades are very workable and blendable.

My son is into drawing and sketching! He is in a Techinical Program for Digital Media/Design & Computer Animation. I would recommend these to anyone who is serious about drawing. Great for shading and adding 3D to drawings!

I really can't stress how much these are worth the price. I use them to draw portraits, and the fact that you can layer and blend the shades makes them look ultra realistic. I'm glad it came with the Copic multiliner (05), because unless you use them last, other brands of multiliners such as Microns (which otherwise I love) get smeared by the markers.

These are my first set of Copic markers, and I've been wanting to buy them for a year now. I've got to say, these markers are wonderful.

When you shade in a drawing, you can't even see the marker strokes. The colors come out beautifully and blend together very nicely.

I usually draw and shade digitally, and these markers are great to shade traditional drawings when I'm on the go and don't have access to a computer.

Very satisfied with these markers, will be buying more in the future.
