My dtrs both tried this and the older 9 yr old had success but the younger one had trouble blowing hard enough to create a picture. the magic pens soaked through the paper and made holes and the white pen wore out with the first picture.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program From an adult perspective I do not understand it but.....both my 6 year old and 12 year old daughters love this product (6 year old more so than 12 year old). Since receiving it, they have used it non-stop in creative and not so creative ways.Unlike another reviewer, neither child had a problem using the blowers. Impressively, the kit came with two Sprayza blowers so the kids would not have to fight. The fact that batteries are not required is a huge plus in my opinion. The kit comes with plenty of stencils and paper (two different sizes). You can use any paper however and even other materials such as cardboard.
The kit also includes plenty of markers with great colors. The kids are now into tye dye and having a blast. I would recommend you have the kids color the paper or object on a large piece of cardboard or table cloth you do not care about. It makes cleanup easier.
Great product.
Best Deals for Melissa & Doug Sprayza - Super Deluxe Set
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program My 9 year old daughter and her friend were both psyched when the Sprayza Super Deluxe set came in. They immediately ripped the package open and started poking out the stencils so that they could use them. While they were able to create some great artwork, I do have a few reservations...PROS:
-Everything you need! The set comes with everything that you need to get started using the Sprayza, including tons of markers, two different sizes of papers, stencils (some entire scenes and some individual pieces), and two Sprayza units.
-TWO units! That was my favorite part, that they gave you two Sprayza units so that two children can use the kit at one time. This is definitely what you need if you have more than one child or if your child has friends over all the time (like mine does).
-Magic Pen the Magic Pen is kinda cool. You basically spray one color on the paper and then use the magic pen to change the color. This allows kids to do some serious outlining or detail work if they'd like.
CONS:
-Out of breath! As the product description says, it's "completely artist powered". Have you ever tried blowing up four or five balloons in succession? How do you feel after you do that? That's what happens when you use the Sprayza. Kids who are trying to create a whole page of art basically take a breath and blow it out over and over again, which is, in my opinion, not necessarily a good idea. My daughter and her friend both complained of being light headed, and then my adult cousin and her 6 year old daughter also had the same experience.
VERDICT:
While Sprayza is very cool and a unique way to allow children to do some spray art, parents should pay close attention to any child using it. Make sure they take little breaks when they're making art so that they do not run out of breath and experience dizziness, lightheadedness, or even worse.
Honest reviews on Melissa & Doug Sprayza - Super Deluxe Set
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program Melissa & Doug, who, by the way, are REAL PEOPLE, not a made up name, have this marvelously subversive idea. They make toys in the old fashioned mode of things to be played with by hand... and mouth... and imagination.
NOT by mouse!
Look, don't get me wrong, there are tons of great games and learning opportunities to be had on-line, too.
But there is an infinite difference between controlling a car, say, on screen and the actual, tactile, joy of controlling that car(TOY car, do I have to add?) With your own hand, arm, and mind.
So it is with Sprayza.
Sure you can "draw" and "airbrush" with any number of on-line programs; even some NOT made by Corel.
But the indefinable EXTRA you get from airbrushing with YOUR OWN AIR is special.
Oh, and, for the record, Christian James who is 71/2, thinks so too.
ANYTHING with the Melissa & Doug label is well worth your time, effort, and cash
This one may be a little more worth it than others.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program I only ordered these for my little ones because they were offered to me on a free trial basis. Now, we are hooked.Unlike pens, which you can only move o n the paper, these work like an air brush, but the child supplies the air. You hold the pen in a special device and blow into one end. You WILL need drop clothes to protect furniture and flooring if you're kids go crazy. This ink doesn't clean up easily.
But the fun factor is outstanding. We had a hard time getting our kids to stop playing with them. The stencils that came with it made the whole thing much more fun since the kids had some designs to work with.
The thing I really liked about them is that the kids have to blow reasonably hard to get the ink out, which keeps it from getting wasted too quickly and it doesn't seem to spatter very much.
If you have art-loving kids who've already tried sketch art, markers, pencils, mandalas and a host of other stuff, these are the bomb.
