However, I would not suggest using these pencils too often or as your only coloring medium because they can be quite difficult to deal with once you have to sharpen them. They are the type of pencil that after the first sharpening, the led will constantly break and fall out. I've tried numerous high end/high quality pencil sharpeners and they don't make a bit of difference. Plain an simple, these pencils are not good to be sharpened once they are dulled. This is the 3rd package I've gone through with these pencils and all of the packages have had the same issues.
I guess it's one way to ensure that customers keep purchasing the product, make them destructive so that constant purchase is required.

I bought these to use to color Mandalas. Yes, I know, I'm a bit funny coloring in coloring books at my age. I loved the variety of colors offered, the quality of the actual pencils, but for my purposes the pencils weren't a good choice. The need to resharpen the pencils so often took away from my enjoyment of coloring the mandalas, which are often very intricate and require a great deal of concentration.I'd recommend these to anyone looking for a higher quality colored pencil for smaller projects. Definitely a cut above Crayola!
