I really liked this product. This is the first piece of clothing I've sewn since junior high (don't ask how long that's been), and it turned out really well. I made two gypsy skirts I saw in a magazine. It called for gathering by pulling threads and I knew there and then that I would use your gathering foot. It worked. Even with cotton, which is a medium fabric, if you set the machine for the longest length and the highest tension, you get a really good gather. I will definitely use this on future sewing projects. I just wanted to add that I use a low shank Singer machine.

I bought this gathering foot for my Elna Quilter's Dream sewing machine. It fit perfectly and gathered my tulle quite tightly. I found it just a little difficult to loosen the gathers where it was gathered too tightly. But it is SO MUCH BETTER than the standard way of gathering yards and yards of tulle.

What a great product. I have a small business and sew ALOT of ruffled/gathered items. Why did I not seek out this product sooner??? I use primarily lightweight fabrics and it works like a dream. I have an older Brother machine (that I wouldn't trade for anything) and it took me a few minutes and some exploration of my machine before I could figure out how to attach the new foot. When using any of my other feet, I simply depress a small lever on the back of the shank and the foot falls off and I apply the other one. So obviously I expected to do the same with this foot. Not the case. I had to actually unscrew a piece that is attached to the shank and apply the foot directly to the shank. Maybe this would have been obvious to others, but I have NEVER removed that piece to change feet, therefore it was not obvious to me. This was not a problem in any way. I only mention it because there are no instructions and another buyer may have a similar situation. This product came at a great price and quick shipping.

I like this little foot. However it only works on lite weight fabrics never more than one layer at a time, except for lace and sheers. I make hats and work with all types for fabrics. Sometimes this sheering foot works and sometimes it doesn't It is trial and error but when it works it is a big help. The company is impressive. Every order and this is not my first foot comes in a very timely manner and exactly what I ordered. I trust them with my sewing needs.
