Anyone who has worked in clay knows that the slightest little thing can put unwanted dents or lines in your sculpture. And if you've ever worked with Sculpey clay trying to sculpt small dolls, that is especially true.

I bought these tools because they were made by Sculpey and if anyone knows Sculpey clay, Sculpey should.

The ball end of these tools are excellent and is the only part of the tool I'll use. The rest of the tool is pretty shoddy. The handle is plastic and has a seam along it which marks your clay if you try to use it for smoothing. The non metal ball end is made of rubber. I'm assuming these ends are to be used for shaping and smoothing the clay. But they also have raised seams on both sides, so smoothing is impossible with these tools other than with the ball end.

Really, I was expecting more from Sculpey. These tools get 4 stars only for the ball ends which is the only useful part of these tools as far as I'm concerned.

I am very new to sculpty and have found these tools helpful, except for a few exceptions. The ball ends are good sizes and smooth, but the rubber ends are not so great. The seams along the rubber tend to make unwanted marks.
