I discovered these crochet hooks about 3 years ago. They are wonderful! I've been crocheting for about 37 years, and love doing it. But, one thing that was really irritating was how the hook seemed to get caught in the yarn very, very often. When I decided to try the Lion Brand hooks, I was totally amazed. They glide through the stitches with no hang-ups! That makes me able to finish my projects quicker and they are nicer, too. I would recommend just buying one if anyone is skeptical that these hooks can make a difference. But, I have a feeling that you'll be going back for the whole set.

I thought these would be a plain looking plastic but they have a pearl finish. The smallest is really thin but you will not use big yarn with it anyways. These are really light and great for someone you has tension issues. They are flexible so you don't have to worry about getting in tight spots.

Mom wanted smooth and flexible hooks so I bought them for her. She put them up on a shelf in her office / yarn room. I'm waiting for her to figure out that they've gone missing. They are lightweight and very easy to hold. When she does realize they're missing, if she ever does, too bad. I'm keeping them.

I cannot use the metal ones, and I don't like the little narrow necks on some of them. These are exactly right for me, move smoothly through the yarn and are a joy to use. I would like to see each size in more colors so that if I am using pink yarn, I could use the largest hook in another color. However, they are great just as they are.

I love the Lions Brand crochet hooks as the yarn glides over the hooks when you crochet. In the past two years, I have tried to find these hooks on my travels to California as that is where I used to buy them. Well the Lions Brand hooks have disappeared form retail stores.

So of course I was delighted to find them on Amazon and the price was so reasonable. I even bought the set of 3 larger hooks as I know I will need them one day.

If you use the other brands of crochet hooks, you should try Lions Brand as they really glide so easily with the yarn and make crocheting go so much faster.

My mother crocheted for YEARS and even had hooks form Japan and England, I have tried these and always return to my trusty Lions Brand hooks. Remember the price on Amazon with free shipping (meet qualifications) is the BEST!!
