I found these brushes to be of average quality. Some were better than others. Some lost the hairs rather quickly. The finish on the brushes were very nice and they appeared to be excellent brushes at first.

I was impressed by the variety of brushes for the price, but that was where my favorable impressions ended. Several of the brushes had inconsistent thread lengths and needed to be trimmed for consistency, and I had one brush literally fall apart in my hand while I was using it, the capping connecting the brush to the shaft just falling off. Probably to be expected given the Made in China stamped on every brush. All in all, probably not a terrible investment if you just need a selection of brushes to get you through a college elective or high school art class as long as you don't mind having to glue a couple of them back together, but certainly not a worthwhile investment for a serious artist or avid hobbyist.

This is a good starter set for anyone beginning to paint. The set has brushes for oil, acrylic, and watercolor painting. However, it has been my experience that you can use any brush for any type of paintig. As you get more experience you will fine you like some more than others. That is why I recommend a cheaper set like this to start out with. You can spend a fortune on brushes if you want to but why invest alot of money until you are sure you are going to like to paint.

These brushes (and alot of the cheaper ones) shed a little. If this happens you can take a tooth pick and gently lift the hair off your canvas.

Recommend for all beginners.

Got these as a Christmas gift for the wife and she loves them. She is getting back into painting and really likes that this set has different brushes for different types of paint.

They were shipped to me in a reasonable amount of time. However, I was expecting these brushes to somewhat work... As I was taking them out of the package, 4 of them fell apart. The rest were very wiggly too. Also, the oil brushes were completely stiff and had some sort of resin or something on them, and they had very tough bristles overall.

I would not recommend. This was a TERRIBLE product.
