I've tried the blues in this set, but on an earlier pastel, I used MV's oranges and pinks. Gorgeous colors and they lay down rich and intense. Even received some of MV's other sets for Mother's Day and then had to buy a case for large pastels so I could sit and enjoy the display of colors. Only caution -you'll have to wash your hands more frequently because they are so soft. Great addition to the harder style of pastel. If they're too chunky for your use, a judious break into some smaller pieces works. And, oh yeah, they come at a reasonable price.

Beautiful pastels, very vibrant, arrived unbroken and in good shape, good deal. They are medium-soft rather than very soft and work best probably for underpainting or the middle stages of a pastel painting rather than the finishing touches.

Amazing product at an ever perfect price. So pleasant to work with and so soft they are unbelievable. Never thought pastels could be so fun and hassle free to apply. My previous experience with pastels, lead me to believe that they were all just compressed pigment, hard and rough, however I decided to try Mount Vision Pastels, because a friend highly recommended them to me. And behold. I fell in love. Thank you Mount Vision for producing such a wonderful product, one that all artists can appreciate and utilize.
