They take a few tries to get used to. There is a lot of detail to try and get stamped into the metal so one quick whack with a hammer will not work. The tilt and tap method works pretty well, just be careful not to tilt to far. The Butterfly and Crown are the hardest to do, the hearts are pretty easy. Definetly do a bunch of practice runs before doing on your final piece.

Best Deals for Beadsmith 3 Piece "Whimsy" Punch Set for Stamping Metal 3/16 Inch

These stamps are not easy to use. You have to apply an excessive amount of force to even make them imprint in the metal you are stamping. Thy are also big and bulky so it's hard to know where you're lining them up. I'm keeping them but I will look for better metal stamps with designs.
