I enjoy sewing garments from time to time, and bought this bundle of sewing thread to re-stock my pitiful thread/spool supply. I was a bit hesitant as I usually buy a different brand, but was drawn in by the price. I am happy to say that this thread seems as good, if not better, than the major brand I had been purchasing. I found this out when I made a mistake with a skirt I had been making and needed to use my seam ripper to cut and pull out the stitching I had done. I was amazed how strong this thread is as I with force had pulled the thread quite hard and it did not break easily at all. I'm very impressed not only with the strength of this thread, but also with the colors provided in the 24 spool set. I look forward to purchasing more SMC threads in the future and highly recommend this to anyone who likes to sew with quality thread and save money as well.

This thread breaks very easily just from pulling at it to tighten a knot when you're hand-sewing! Also, the color choices are weird. There's no red, gray or brown. Seriously? Those are among the most common fabric and apparel colors! Instead of red there's pink and hot pink (?!?), instead of gray there are three grayish shades of blue, on top of the bright eye-popping blue. And there's one dark brown which is more like black. The picture is misleading. Most of these colors are useless to me. Overall, very disappointing.

It isn't the best quality, but for the price it was a great deal. We haven't had any issues with it yet so there is nothing to complain about. We don't sew a lot, but it is nice to have a set that includes a lot of general colors incase we ever have an emergency task come up.
