I was intending to use these brushes for auto detailing among other things, almost realizing that they would be disposable in a sense.

For the cost, they are assembled well enough for limited use. After gently cleaning them, the brush heads will soon loosen and eventually you'll lose your bristles.

If you're looking for brushes that will last for the long term, I suggest you find a Utrecht art supply store where you can find the absolute highest quality available and be prepared to spend a premium.

These brushes performed will enough for my current needs and I recommend them to others who have modest expectations.

I am not an artist, but my boyfriend is and he got these for Christmas from me. He had them on his Wish List. I can attest that he loves them and uses them whenever he paints. I also think whenever you get new anything---be it art supplies, books, makeup brushes---you are more motivated to use them. These motivated him.

I would say that they are perfect for anyone, student or professional who is looking for some great brushes. I bought these for my boyfriend because he indicated he wanted them---that to me (as someone who knows his work), tells me that they must be the best choice for a working artist who values quality at a fair price. I would buy these again.
