This is a great set for the beginner or college student and the price was amazing! I deducted 1-star only for the packing: The box was just a tad too short and the pad was so snug against the side it warped a bit. It's with my daughter at college, so I don't know if it has relaxed and straightened.
I'm impressed with the array of French curves. They aren't heavy-duty like the ones I used drafting eons ago, but are excellent for their intended drawing purpose. The Strathmore paper is a brand and kind my daughter likes and I have no opinion about since I don't draw. And I can't review the pencils -I'm pretty picky and haven't tried them to know -but they're an added bonus to the whole package. I'm very pleased with the purchase and fast shipping.
