This is labeled as Anchor floss but it is manufactured in India and the colors are a not an exact match to the Anchor floss manufactured in Germany and distributed in American needlework stores. The quality is nice so if exact match isn't an issue for you, this is a great buy.

I ordered two sets of this Anchor Collection because I needed some stash builders for wool applique work. I admit to being a long term DMC six-stand customer, but I ordered this collection because I burn through a skien of thread in no time with the wool work. When doing thread painting embroidery I turn to the DMC threads for washability and general thread quality, but so far I have had no issues with the quality of this thread collection. The color options are very good, ranging from primary colors to pastels and tints. I also really appreciate that the skiens are neat and easy to wind, as opposed to the skiens which tend to be tangled messes in the bins in the needlework stores.

If you are looking for a nice color collection at a very good price then I would recommend this collection as I do not believe you can go wrong. While they are not DMC, they are a very close second!

I am delighted with this embroidery floss. It makes even the satin stitch live up to the name. I've used it to embroider baby bibs, blankets, and even tiny shirts and it washes very well. I usually use and still like DMC floss because it is so available and I do like it. But a friend recommended this because she thinks it has a bit more sheen and silken feel. Because hand embroidery is a personal investment, I think this thread is worth the extra effort and tiny extra expense to obtain.

I was delighted with the purchase, get 100 skeins of different colors, beautiful and bright. The yarn holds its shape during embroidery (not opaque, or fray) and wash the work does not lose color. I think they are a good investment.
