Yarka gouache is a good for the money. It has strong pigment. Not a great lightfastness of the colors. It is very opaque; pencil drawing does not show through the paint. It does not leave streaks of color but leaves round spots when you cover a large area. It is safe for kids, ACMI non-toxic.
The jars are very difficult to open and when you do open it, the paint often splashes. After paint dries it becomes much lighter. The thickness of the paint is inconsistent. Black is more watery than other colors. Yarka is far from professional quality.

I have been using these for about 10 years. They are easy to use. I agree about their light fastness, but I often combine them with other watercolors and even spray them after use with a clear fixative so they do not run when I back and stretch the xuan paper.I have also used them on silk and found them to be very good.
