Having recently started doing illustrations/comic art, I was desperately looking for a drawing board to draw back-pain-free. I thought I would experiment with a portable drawing board until I could afford a proper drawing table. I ordered the large one since I thought the SMALL was too small (check the dimensions) and the product arrived within two days of placing the order and was packaged securely. The construction looks pretty solid and the 1/2" board is perfectly flat. I am not sure if it has a perfect edge (to use a T-square) but it seems workable for now. It has about six different adjustments and the contraption seems to be well-built. The handle and clips are of good quality too. One thing I would have liked is farther-spaced positions at higher angles because the largest angle you can get with this is approximately 30 degrees (at the last stop you can see in the picture also, in the picture, the metal stand is placed in the middle before the last stop showing a higher angle than what is possible) I have heard drawing tables typically incline more than that and would have liked that on this board. But this works great for now. All in all, a good buy.

This fits on my desk perfectly. I move my keyboard off to the side and wheel over to the left when I need it. It's at the right angle for drawing and sketching. I am just learning to draw, and I was finding that my neck was craning. The surface is kind of easy to keep clean, but I am messy:=). The clip keeps the paper in place. I can't afford a drafting table, and who needs one with this? It is very well-made. It has a handle to carry it, and it will last me for years. I took back my easel and got other art supplies I needed. GREAT purchase!

My son started art classes and needed a drawing board. This was not the cheapest one but had clips on top and seemed like it would be fairly strong and hold up. My son said that the kids in the class as well as the teacher thought this board was very nice and the price was similar or less than what most of the other kids paid. So, go ahead and buy this board, you will not be sorry.

I bought this drafting board to supplement my larger drafting table when I wanted to draw away from my studio. It is a great little board. The only negatives I have to say are that the board is a little lighter than I expected, but that could be a positive if portability is your main concern, so it slides a little when I rest my elbows on it. The only other negative is that I wish the board angled up a little higher, as it sits now it only goes up to about a 35-40 degree tilt. Other than those two small negatives the board is great and I would buy it again.

Pleased with this product. It is lightweight but sturdy, very portable. My only complaint would be that it would be nice to have a few notches "higher" to angle the board and/or the ability to turn it vertically to use.
