I'm a newbie at knitting and certainly knitting in the round on circular needles is a challenge to learn. I shopped and compared pricing and quality all over the internet and this was the set I settled on buying. I'm very happy with this purchase and have been knitting away with very good results. The bamboo is smooth, with no areas on the wood to snag yarn. The color and the feel of the wood is very nice in my hands. The plastic tubes to connect the needles are fastened securely (I pulled on one of them) and flow nicely into the needle so the yarn does not snag at the joints either.

Before I bought these, I already several 16" circular needles in the sizes I typically use for hats, but only some of these were bamboo, which I've had a preference for as of late. I decided to give this set a go after good luck with some double pointed bamboos I picked up on Amazon, and at around $1 per pair, it was a steal!
My biggest problem is that the cord connecting the sticks is an actual tube. It's relatively flimsy and bends, so the project doesn't "flow" as it should (there's a lot of manual pushing of stitches). I've never had anything bend, but it creates a fold where the entire project has to be adjusted to get past it to pull the bend out of the cord.
While I can't say that I regret my purchase, I'll still go to my higher quality circulars first, but it's nice to be able to have extra to lend out to friends who are just learning to knit. Also, they come with a guarantee for free replacement, so that makes me feel a bit better about owning them.
If you're a new knitter, then you may be better off just getting the sizes you need in a better brand.

I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of these knitting needles bamboo needles can be so expensive and these were priced very economically so I was worried about quality. I've used at least 3 different pairs out of the set and they've all been perfect the bamboo is very smooth and the tips are just the right thickness. I haven't tried the more expensive bamboo needles but I'm perfectly happy with these and I'm thrilled to have so many sizes!

One of these needles lasted about an hour. My knitting got tight, the tubing popped off the bamboo needle, and that was that. It's unfortunate because I liked the feel of the bamboo. These are just poorly constructed--plastic flexible tubing is snugged onto the end of the needle, which is shaped to receive it. However, it's just tension that is holding the tubing on. MAYBE if you are a very gentle, loose knitter these would work for you, but over time I would expect the tubing to pop off. Other brands seem to be better constructed, though I didn't bother trying any others--went back to the sturdier metal ones.
