Needles are easily interchangeable and they fit very snugly, so there is no snagging of the yarn. Nice box allows you to keep them in size order since use over time will erase the size on the needles.Best Deals for Knitter's Pride Limited Edition Knitting & Crochet Special Gift Sets
The pros:These needles are extremely beautiful and a real pleasure to knit with. The points are just sharp enough without being too sharp. The wood is smooth, but it is not ultra-slippery, like metal--it's just "grabby" enough for the natural fiber yarns I like to use. These needles don't clank loudly like metal, either. Overall, these needles are so nice that I give this set four stars despite several problems, which I list below.
The cons:
Cable caps are included here, but needle size ID tags are not. Knitter's Pride makes needle size ID tags, however, and they include them with other sets; why not here? This means that if I need my tips for another knitting project and leave my first project on the cord with the ends capped, I won't be able to remember what size needle I was using.
It's disappointing that more cord sizes aren't included in this set. Also, why include two of the same length?
The shawl pin included in the set is pretty, but my set includes no ring--no circular or oval piece with which to secure the pin--so it unfortunately seems useless. I don't see how it could be used to secure something like a scarf or shawl, and I don't know what else it could be used for.
The box this set comes in is a joke. It's a) hideously ugly and b) extremely flimsy. The closure hardware fell off within minutes of my opening up the Amazon delivery box, the tiny screws bouncing across my floor. A very awkward storage option. I am now in search of a decent cloth wrap case for these lovely needles.
Finally, a note:
The needle sizes listed here don't correspond to the sizes in the box I received. My box contains US sizes 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 10.5, and 11.
