I only ordered these so that I could sculpt some pumpkins. They seemed like good enough tools for clay but the pumpkins are pretty hard so after 2 or 3 pumpkins the tools I used the most are definitely loose.

The tools are well made, they just need to sharpened a bit. I don't use them for clay though, so they might be OK for that. I carve pumpkins with them.

Based on other reviews I bought these to carve pumpkins but they wouldn't work at all. None of the tools did nothing more than bruise the flesh of the pumpkin when I tried to make them carve, they are no where near sharp enough. However I am giving them four stars because they are made for clay and seem like they would be fine at carving that.
