The 4" size was great for the fabric purse strap that needed to be shorter. The reason for the 4 stars is that the pins are a thick circumference and not super sharp so it was a struggle to get it through the fabric.

I'm very pleased with these pins. I use them to hold the fitted sheet on my mattress. They are not available around here.

Main reason I bought was to pin several quilts together for a warmer cover this winter. (keep house at 63 degrees) Made things a lot easier. Second reason was for my camping gear can be used a thousand ways. They're really strong. (not like some others I found on line.) And they stay closed while in use.

These colored 4" "kilt pins" are great! They are hefty and having different colors makes them unique. (I received black, navy, silver, green, red, and purple.) I am using them for holding knitting stitch markers. Highly recommended
