This is portable easy to use and just the right size for the rivet hammering to occur. I tried the smaller base then needed to go to just a flat piece of metal for this to work. As a stand alone it works well if you have a solid flat piece of metal for the other end.

Bought the Tandy 8056-00 anvil, 8100-00 rivet setter, and a few styles of rivets. Have never riveted anything previously, but this made it easy. If you haven't done it before, do a few test ones on scrap before. Found that a number of small taps worked much better than one solid whack. Also, keeping the rivet centered on the anvil, the rivet setter straight, and hitting it square on with the hammer seems to be important did have a couple rivets I set a bit crooked until I noticed that.
