The "walking foot" I ordered for my Janome sewing machine worked like a dream. I was able to finish a piece I had commissioned for a local quilt shop and it turned out beautifully.

The walking foot attached easily. It does not come with instructions, so it may be helpful to just look some up on the web. Once I found some instructions, it was very easy to install. Without the instructions I may have goofed something up. So, just search for some before you get started. Some elements are not intuitive and seem important.

The product itself is simply delightful. It is a precision piece of equipment that works in complete harmony with the Janome machine. I am using it for knits, not for quilting as is often described as the walking foot's primary application. For knits it has been a wonderful enhancement. I am no longer considering a serger to solve many of the problems I was having with knits. This even feed foot really takes the challenge out of using knit fabrics.

Well I really had not wanted to spend this much for it, but I looked at cheaper ones and darning feet and was convinced this is the one I needed. I bought it at a fabric shop where I bought my Janome MyStyle100, and I got a break on the price they give a discount for parts on a sewing machine you got from them, so I paid closer to #45 than $50. Normally I go to Amazon for lower prices but this time I lucked out.

What convinced me about getting this foot was, at the store when i wanted to buy a $20 walking foot, they tried fitting it onto a Janome MS100 they had there and it just would not go on the screw hole did not line up exactly with the ankle.

Reason for only four stars is that the quilting bar can be tricky to insert I had to look on the web for how to install it, and a couple people said press it in GENTLY or the plastic holder will break.

This foot is perfect for my Janome Platinum. I previously purchased a generic walking foot that that was a pain to use. This one sews smoothly.

This foot is way to expensive but it works like a charm. I would have given it 4 stars because it's so darn expensive about 25% of the cost of the machine. However I knew going in how much it cost. But my wife loves it compared to what she was using, a generic brand.
