The colors are beautiful, but be warned these colors stain clothes! They say tempera, so I thought they would be washable, but we have ruined two toddler dresses. If you are an adult these are great but for kids go with Color Splash washable tempera cakes.

I thought that tempera cakes came in standard size, but these are tiny! I bought other sets of Richeson tempera cakes sets from Blick, and they were much larger (the only size of tempera cakes I had ever seen). I should have actually read the dimensions of each cake. Maybe these are good for home use or for one child. NOT the best for classrooms, unless you want to refill them more often. These are being returned.

These colors are vibrant, blend well when mixed, and last a LONG time. I used them at a preschool with kids on a regular basis without them running out. Its a great investment.
