I purchased these pens to use in my Bible. The fact that they are archival safe and non-bleeding was what made my decision. Despite those claims, these pens do bleed through the pages on my Bible (NASB Inductive Study Bible designed to be marked in). They're beautiful colors, but the .5 mm ink is actually THICKER than my regular pens with a 1.0 mm ink.
I would not recommend these pens if you are looking for something that is non-bleeding and/or writes thin. Even on normal, thicker paper, these are some of the thickest pens I've ever used. Not impressed.

I love these pens! I bought them specifically for a book signing because I read that these are the best types of pens for the job, but what I liked best of all is the variety of colors. I also like that the ink is really vibrant. Although it says they are non-bleeding, you do have to be somewhat careful with bleeding if the paper stock you're using them on isn't that great, but that really isn't a criticism of these pens. These truly are some of the best pens I've used, and unlike some other ball-writer pens, they do not get ink all over my hands and the ink has never clumped.Best Deals for EK Success-1/2-Millimeter Archival Ball Writer Pens, Assorted
After spending a lot of money of the "quilting" pens for projects, I found the Ziggy pens at a Hobby Lobby a few years back. They are great if one is using them to sign a name on a quilt label, or even to use if embellishing a project using fabric as the background. They are also great in tracing patterns for applique.
