This is probably the most beautiful die set from Spellbinders and I was really looking foreword to getting it. I use a Grand Calibur and have between 65 and 75 die cut sets from Spellbinders. For this set I have used wax paper, double shims, thick paper, thin paper, running it through a couple of times, rotating it and running it again. Poor results. I am very disappointed and seldom write reviews but want to say think twice before ordering this one when there are several others that will give you the results you are looking for. I am so disappointed.

I use this die to make cards. The only problem is several of the dies are too large

for the size of the card I make but the ones that work I love and I have made several

nice cards with them. Again I love them

I didn't realize the size these would come in my fault completely. I expected they would work with a standard card since all the other dies I have from Spellbinders due, but only the smaller one in the set do and they are very thin. Also, I am having a hard time getting the intricate edges to cut through I don't have too much trouble with other dies so I don't think it is the way I am cutting them. The dies are beautiful, but I am not in love with them like I am with all my other SB dies.

This Spellbinder set is just gorgeous! . They can be so beautifully decorated with stamping, flowers, or anything you can imagine. They can also be layered.

For easier release, place a piece of wax paper in between the cutter and paper/cardstock. I found that after doing this the first few times I used them , they later began to release just fine without the wax paper.

I highly recommend this item for beginners and pros.

I am frustrated with these dies. They look beautiful but they are very finicky. The borders cut okay and the embossed details on the inserts look lovely but the ornate cut outs on the inserts do not cut evenly, some parts cut through others do not. I have tried rotating the paper to change the pressure points; if you use a shim the finer pieces cut through because of the extra pressure. Have wasted lots of paper. Wax paper is a must. They definately cant do even cartridge paper much less card stock as the cutting edge is too shallow. I have other spellbinders that I am very happy with but these are a disappointment.
