I got this kit to paint a model I got for Xmas. I have not built a model since I was a kid and had a lot of fun. Having the airbrush helped me produce a much better end product. I have never painted before and found it pretty simple to use however I would not suggest this kit if you are going to do a lot of painting with it. If you want to get started with a small project I think it is a great way to test your skills for a low cost. It had everything I needed to get started.

Picked this kit up to help out on laying down base coats on some war-game miniatures and it seems to do the trick. In about 5 minutes I was blending colors on an old Cthulhu figurine I had laying about and it looked pretty good for a first time air brush job.I can't vouch for durability, but it would seem to hold up to pretty basic usage and the paints that came with it are of good quality as well. I'm sure this wouldn't be the tool if you want expert results, but as a basic airbrush I think it does what one would expect.

This is a very complete item. The only thing I would add to it would be an Acrylic Cleaner to clean up after. Although, everything is here for the beginner to start learning, even a flame style stencil. This is a low cost way to get started airbrushing or an inexpensive way as a portable unit so you don't need a pump. For model railroading this unit works very well, with great control and coverage. I bought this because I was interested in the art of airbrushing. It was definitely a great way to spend a few bucks, because now that I've gotten a taste, I will go on and buy real equiptment. I modified a nerf gun to look steampunk with it (buying gold and brown paint from the same company on the side), and it looks fantastic. the paint feels a little sticky after it dries, so I need to spray it with a clear coat.I recommend this ONLY if you have never airbrushed and would like to test and get a feel for it. The ink splatters a lot and the whole kit is fairly cheap, but I loved it anyway!
