This saves so much time icing cakes. When making a large party cake its awesome for time. Pipe the icing down in rows than smooth with spatula. But I have recently started using when just icing an everyday 8 or 9 inch cake and it saves at least 5-10 minutes. I have use one Wilton cloth piping bag, cut just for this tip. Cleaning is not bad when you just let sit in hot water a few minutes than clean right out. I highly recommend.

I bought this to use to decorate a tall, square-shaped cake by icing up from the bottom to the top of it to decorate it like a present for a Christmas party dessert. This worked beautifully. This tip was the "ribbon" on the sides of the "present". I then added a sprig of curling ribbon to the top of the cake to add the finishing touch. Took very little time to decorate something gorgeous & creative!
I also use this to evenly apply strawberry glaze atop strawberry topped cheesecakes. It puts just the right amount on there in an even fashion. Love it!

I knew that the tips were made of aluminum, but because this one is so large, it gets bent very easily. I didn't notice it at first, but now I have to make sure I keep it in a hard case or something when "traveling" with it or it will get bent. And it's hard to get it back to its original shape.
