when you need to hold something tight and not leave any marks, these didn't quite do it. We were working with copper and alum-0xide wire for chain maille and you could clearly see where we were gripping. Might have to put some tape over the metal. The tools look fairly sturdy and I think I should get alot of service out of the set. Not sure if I need the little shovel but for beaders it might be crucial. has a few tools for each crafter, but you might have to buy a couple extra pliers for your specific craft. These tools are great for a beginner I think. The cutter is not very sharp I have to say but the other tools work very well. I think if you are just starting out and you are going to be using these to learn your wire working and beading they are the perfect fit.

I had a set of these tools and then they mysteriously disappeared. The tools are not top grade but with a little filing down of the sides and points, they are quite useful in projects.

If you make Polymer clay charms I would have to say this tool is a MUST-HAVE to make the eyepins and wire loops for your polymer clay. I would have to agree with the previous reviewer that the tools are a bit rough and leaves marks into crafting wire but it's not that noticable. I find all the tools quite useful. I use the bead reamer as a texture tool for making small holes or details in the polymer clay. The scoop tool I also find useful for scraping the clay off your work surface and to scoop out *hollow out* a clay project. For pro jewelry makers this tool may not be what you're looking for as far as quality. They are sturdy but I'd invest a few extra bucks to get a more pro kit but for beginners or polymer clay crafters to use is perfect. Also the size is perfect for kids learning to make jewelry or those with small hands. I recommend it !
