I bought three sets. The case is nice, but after using the smallest hooks for about three weeks they bent. I am disappointed. I thought the metal was of higher quality.

This is a full set of standard sized of crochet hooks. They are aluminum and steel. The case is functional but not flashy. I like having all my hooks together. It makes it easier to ensure your project has proper gauge because you can easily switch up or down a size without having to search for a different hook. My only complaint is the slots for each hook are a fixed size. It would be nice if they were fashioned from elastic rather than plastic so that you could put more than one hook in each slot. But, it is a nice, reasonably priced set.

The set seemed nice enough at first, but after 2 minutes of use, I realized that the point of my F hook wasn't smooth and it was pulling my yarn apart as I worked. F hooks are fairly common and the fact that this one was sub par was disappointing to say the least. Upon further inspection, 7 other hooks have this same problem. This was a pretty big waste of money.
Honest reviews on Boye Crochet Master Steel and Aluminum Crochet Hook Set
These are not the Boye crochet hooks of yore. The aluminum hooks are OK, but they aren't well finished. I have never seen steel hooks of such poor quality. They appear to cast and there is no finishing. They are OK for trim work and finishing, but I wouldn't want to have to use them for a whole project. It's a shame. I used to really like Boye hooks.

I have just started writing some reviews, and basically because of this Item. Since I read other peoples reviews I wanted people to know that this case & set of hooks are Wonderful! I carry them with me pretty much everywhere I go. If I decide to do thread work, it is covered. If I feel like working on afghans or throws, that is covered too. The case is well made, and I even stash a blunt needle in the center area. Overall, I would definitely recommend this product both hook & case to anyone wanting variety and a nice way to keep them altogether.
